Table -

● Are just data bank for use of researchers for their various studies
● Also called Reference Tables
Special Purpose
Table -
● Prepared with some specific purpose in mind
● Small tables limited to problem under consideration
● Presented as result of analysis
● Also called Summary Tables
Original Table -
● Data are presented in the same form and manner in which they are collected
Derived Table -
● Data are not presented as it is
Eg. Data is first converted into ratios or percentage and then presented

● Shows only one characteristic of data
